Dealer Service Locations Exceeds $500 Million in Transactions with the Decisiv Service Management Platform

New features added to universal fleet and service location communications portal boosting business for a growing number of dealers and distributors

Glen Allen, Virginia – April 23, 2010 – Decisiv, Inc., the provider of an advanced web-based technology designed to connect fleet managers with internal and external service locations, today announced at the American Truck Dealers Convention & Expo that dealer service locations using the Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP) have surpassed $500 million in transactions on an annualized basis.

“The open, flexible nature of the Decisiv Service Management Platform provides solutions for dealers and service locations and truck and component manufacturers,” said Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv. “The result is a rapidly growing volume of service business. The real value for service locations actually far exceeds $500 million annually when warranty and no charge operations are included.”

DSMP was developed in close partnership with many of North America’s top truck and component manufacturers and service networks. It is currently in use by hundreds of fleets and service providers under the brand names Diamond Estimating System and ServicePartner at International dealerships, MVASIST at Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks dealers, DSMP at Freightliner and Detroit Diesel Allison (DDA) service locations, QuoteIt at W.W. Williams service locations and Prevost.ASIST at Prevost repair facilities.

Decisiv has continually added new features to all versions of its DSMP. Included in the most recent upgrades are enhancements to service event management functions, including features that allow a service event to be tagged with a follow up time and date. Shop efficiency can be tracked by capturing estimated and actual times of repair. Additionally, notes added to an operation can now be viewed easily, an effective way to communicate with a technician about a specific repair or diagnostic operation.

Managing estimates in the DSMP is now easier and more efficient with new productivity tools for service personnel that let them quickly view the most recent notes from a customer, and search for estimates by vehicle, customer, date or repair order number. Service locations can now view and add fleet recommended operations to an estimate and attach documents and pictures to an emailed estimate. The status of each line item on an estimate can be set, and any service event can be linked to another estimate.

Central to the DSMP is the ability to communicate effectively with customers, including new features that allow OEM field service managers to reach customers and service locations to update fleets about ongoing events. “With the Decisiv Service Management Platform, customers and service locations share information and effectively communicate throughout a service event, all within a single web portal,” Hyatt said. “The result for fleets is the ability to save hours per service event. For service locations, this platform is increasing business volume and generating significantly higher levels of service and parts revenue.”
